Choosing from a Plan Web Site

Just like you can buy house plans from a book in a book store, you can also go to a plan web site for house plans. The best plan sites have thousands and thousands of plans to choose from. You'll filter on how many bedrooms you want, the number of square feet, the size of the garage, and the number of stories. You may want to filter further on a basement and so forth. Most plans can be adjusted for a basement or crawl space or slab. They can also be adapted for the size of the garage.

Don't be afraid to look at plans a little smaller or larger than the sizes you think you'll want to actually settle on. Remember that you can change the plans. Remember that you're also looking for ideas, and not just for a plan set. Spend some quality time looking around for what you want. Keep an open mind.

Ordering a set of plans from a web site works the same way as doing it from a book. You can modify the plans, you can get them re-engineered as needed. Exterior finishes, roofing, window trims, everything can be modified. Use your imagination.
